The BMW Alpina XB7 SUV is ending its production run with 120 Manufaktur edition models, all of which are for buyers in the U.S. and Canada.
Two \”Frozen\” paint colors are offered, and there are other high-end details that will make the SUV even more special than it already is.
Production begins in September 2026, and the price is set at $181,550.\nOn the heels of BMW’s announcement that it is spinning off luxury tuner Alpina as a new subbrand, the company is launching a celebratory special edition marking the end of production of the only remaining Alpina-tuned BMW model, the X7-based Alpina XB7 SUV.\n\nView Photos\nBMW\nOnly 120 of the Alpina XB7 Manufaktur will be built, and all of them will come identically equipped, right down to the 23-inch forged 20-spoke Alpina wheels. The only thing you have to do is select your paint color: Frozen Alpina Green or Frozen Alpina Blue.\n\nRather than the usual bright silver exterior trim, everything on the Manufaktur edition has been blacked out, including the wheels. An elaborate black pinstripe adorns the body side, and all 120 models will wear exclusive XB7 Manufaktur badging on the liftgate and a laser-etched Manufaktur logo on the B-pillars.\n\nFor Sale Near You\nSee all results for new 2026 BMW X7 for sale near 634720\n\nBMW\nView Photos\nBMW\nInside, the seats, dash, and doors are lined in Tartufo Merino leather in a color called Walnut Nature Black. The headrests feature special Alpina embroidery, and a \”1 of 120\” plaque adorns the center console. Second-row captain’s chairs are standard, as is a Bowers & Wilkins Diamond surround-sound stereo system. In the trunk, you’ll find a matching pair of Alpina-branded leather weekender bags.\n\nUnder the hood is the same 631-hp twin-turbo V-8 as the standard XB7. BMW says it’s powerful enough to propel this three-row sled to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds, but that’s a conservative estimate. We last tested an Alpina XB7 in 2021, when its engine made 19 fewer ponies, and that model scooted to 60 in just 3.7 seconds.\n\nBMW\nView Photos\nBMW\nAn air suspension is standard and can lower the XB7 by 1.6 inches, which BMW says reduces the SUV’s center of gravity and improves handling. Rear-axle steering is also on hand and can turn the rear wheels up to 2.3 degrees to shorten the XB7’s turning radius and improve stability when cruising on the highway.\n\nThe price for all this exclusiveness? $181,550. But obviously, you will have to act quickly if you want to secure your spot among the 120 buyers. Production is scheduled to start in September 2026 at BMW’s Spartanburg, South Carolina, plant.\n\n\n\nBMW’s ultra-luxury division, Alpina, is bidding farewell to its most powerful SUV creation, the Alpina XB7, with a spectacular limited-run Manufaktur Special Edition for 2026. Following the recent announcement of Alpina’s new independent subbrand status, this swansong model represents the final chapter for the Alpina-tuned X7, exclusively crafted for the North American market. With production capped at just 120 units, each vehicle promises an unparalleled level of exclusivity, bespoke craftsmanship, and breathtaking performance that has come to define the Alpina legacy. This isn’t merely a final edition; it’s a collector’s item that encapsulates a decade of automotive excellence and sets a new benchmark for what’s possible in the realm of high-performance luxury SUVs. For discerning enthusiasts across the United States and Canada, the opportunity to own a piece of Alpina history is now, as production is slated to commence in September 2026, with an MSRP of $181,550.\n\nThe 2026 Alpina XB7 Manufaktur Special Edition is a testament to BMW’s unwavering commitment to excellence, taking the already formidable X7 platform and elevating it to unprecedented heights of sophistication and performance. At the heart of this automotive masterpiece lies the same potent 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that has powered the XB7’s rise to prominence. However, in true Alpina fashion, this powertrain has been meticulously re-engineered to deliver an intoxicating blend of raw power and refined drivability. With an output of 631 horsepower and a staggering 590 lb-ft of torque, the XB7 Manufaktur possesses the muscle to catapult its considerable mass from 0 to 60 mph in a mere 3.9 seconds. This near-supercar acceleration, combined with a top speed electronically limited to 180 mph, ensures that the Manufaktur edition remains a dominant force on both the open highway and the most demanding mountain passes. Yet, as Alpina has always demonstrated, brute force is only one facet of the equation. The true magic lies in how this power is delivered – smoothly, effortlessly, and with an almost telepathic connection between driver and machine.\n\nBeyond the prodigious power output, the 2026 Alpina XB7 Manufaktur Special Edition benefits from a chassis and suspension setup that has been painstakingly developed to deliver a driving experience unlike any other in its class. The air suspension system, a hallmark of Alpina engineering, has been retuned to provide an uncanny balance between ride comfort and dynamic agility. With the ability to lower the vehicle by 1.6 inches, the Manufaktur edition can hunker down for spirited driving, reducing its center of gravity and enhancing cornering capabilities. Complementing this is the sophisticated rear-axle steering system, which can turn the rear wheels up to 2.3 degrees. This innovative technology effectively shortens the XB7’s turning radius at lower speeds, making it remarkably nimble despite its imposing dimensions. At highway velocities, the rear wheels turn in the same direction as the fronts, providing enhanced stability and confidence during high-speed maneuvers. This seamless integration of advanced suspension technologies ensures that the XB7 Manufaktur remains composed, planted, and utterly confidence-inspiring, regardless of the driving conditions.\n\nVisually, the 2026 Alpina XB7 Manufaktur Special Edition commands attention with a design that is both understated and imposing. The exterior is available in one of two exclusive \”Frozen\” paint colors: Frozen Alpina Green or Frozen Alpina Blue. These matte finishes exude an aura of understated luxury, setting the Manufaktur edition apart from its standard counterparts. The traditional bright silver exterior trim has been replaced with a menacing blacked-out treatment, covering elements such as the window surrounds, roof rails, and exhaust finishers. This monochromatic aesthetic is further accentuated by the striking 23-inch forged 20-spoke Alpina wheels, finished in the same lustrous black as the trim. Adding a final touch of bespoke elegance is the hand-painted black pinstripe that adorns the body sides, a nod to Alpina’s rich heritage of coachbuilding. The exclusivity of the Manufaktur edition is further emphasized by unique badging on the liftgate and laser-etched logos on the B-pillars, ensuring that every model serves as a rolling testament to its limited-production status.\n\nStepping inside the 2026 Alpina XB7 Manufaktur Special Edition is an experience that borders on the sublime. The interior is a masterclass in automotive craftsmanship, where every surface, every stitch, and every detail has been meticulously curated to create an atmosphere of unparalleled luxury. The cabin is swathed in the finest materials, with seats, dashboard, and door panels finished in sumptuous Tartufo Merino leather. This rich, cognac-colored leather is complemented by a unique Walnut Nature Black hue, adding depth and sophistication to the overall aesthetic. The headrests feature special Alpina embroidery, while a prominent \”1 of 120\” plaque on the center console serves as a constant reminder of the vehicle’s rarity. Standard features further underscore the Manufaktur edition’s premium positioning. Second-row captain’s chairs provide limousine-like comfort for rear passengers, while the Bowers & Wilkins Diamond surround-sound system delivers an auditory experience that is nothing short of breathtaking. Adding a final touch of practicality and luxury, the trunk is equipped with a matching pair of Alpina-branded leather weekender bags, ensuring that every journey, whether long or short, is undertaken in style.\n\nThe 2026 Alpina XB7 Manufaktur Special Edition represents more than just a final production run; it symbolizes a pivotal moment in Alpina’s storied history. As Alpina transitions into a fully independent subbrand under the BMW Group umbrella, this special edition serves as a fitting capstone to its successful partnership with BMW. The transition allows Alpina to retain its unique identity and manufacturing philosophy while benefiting from increased autonomy and resources. This evolution ensures that the spirit of Alpina – one of performance-oriented luxury, meticulous attention to detail, and automotive artistry – will continue to thrive for generations to
