The First Hurdle: Fog and Navigation Nightmares
As the appointed hour arrived, the Corvette rumbled towards the starting line in the pre-dawn gloom. The Victorian-era Point Fermin Lighthouse, despite its very design purpose of being easily visible, was nearly swallowed by the pervasive fog.
