Pricing for the 2026 Ford Mustang Dark Horse SC has been leaked via a dealer memo, as reported by Ford Muscle.
The document shows the Dark Horse SC starting at $108,485, with the Track Pack costing an extra $36,500.
The Shelby GT500 that the Dark Horse SC replaces started at $80,795 in 2022, its final year on sale, which is around $93,500 when adjusted for inflation.
UPDATE 3/9/26, 1:15 p.m.: A Ford representative confirmed to Car and Driver that the pricing from the leaked document is accurate. The 2026 Dark Horse SC starts at $108,485, with the Track Pack requiring $144,985.
Ford revealed the highly anticipated follow-up to the Mustang Shelby GT500 in January, controversially dropping the Shelby name and dubbing the new performance model the Dark Horse SC. The Mustang Dark Horse SC packs a supercharged 5.2-liter V-8 and should be a beast to drive, although we’re still waiting for Ford to tell us how much power it will make. Ford also hasn’t revealed just how much this new Mustang variant will cost, but now a leaked document published by Kelly Aiken of aftermarket suspension company Kelltrac, and initially reported by Ford Muscle, purports that the Dark Horse SC will carry a hefty price tag.\n\nFor Sale Near You\nSee all results for new 2026 Ford Mustang for sale near 634720\n\nView Interior Photos\nMichael Simari|Car and Driver\nThe leaked pricing comes from a dealer memo, and alleges that the Dark Horse SC will start at a lofty $108,485, when factoring in the destination fee and gas guzzler tax. Ford is also offering the Dark Horse SC with a Track package, which brings a bigger manually adjustable rear wing, retuned MagneRide dampers, carbon-fiber wheels, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup R tires, and carbon-ceramic brakes from the Mustang GTD. Inside, the Track Pack includes Recaro sports seats and deletes the rear seats, but all of these changes come at a cost, with the document stating that the Track Pack boosts the price to $144,985.\n\nA Track Pack Special Edition is also available at launch, bringing a black-painted roof, red accents, carbon-fiber trim, and 3-D-printed titanium trim from the GTD inside. This racier look raises the price even higher to $175,965, a whopping $30,980 increase. We’ve reached out to Ford regarding the leaked dealer memo and will update this story when we hear back.\n\nView Exterior Photos\nMichael Simari|Car and Driver\nThe pricing represents a significant increase from the Dark Horse SC’s predecessor. Back in 2022, the final model year for the Shelby GT500, the muscle car started at a cool $80,795. Adjusted for inflation, that would be equivalent to around $93,500 today, so the Dark Horse SC still represents a substantial increase. And the Shelby’s Carbon Fiber Track Pack, which brought similar upgrades to those seen on the SC, required $18,500. That’s $21,402 in today’s money, still way less than the $36,500 that the document shows for the new Track Pack.\n\nIf the document proves to be accurate, that’s a big boost in price versus the Shelby that will likely cause furor among the Ford faithful. While the muscle car looks pretty awesome, it will be interesting to see if buyers are willing to pay that much more. A deciding factor will likely be the power output, which Ford has been cagey about, refusing to reveal the number at the car’s unveiling. We expect it will land somewhere between the GT500’s 760 hp and the GTD’s 815 hp, but we’ll have to wait for an official figure.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\
